Senior Structural Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and 2D blueprints using CAD or BIM software.
• Detail joints and connections, determine beam, column, and foundation sizes.
• Provide field supervision and inspection services on construction projects.
• Perform post-project reviews to ensure objectives, cost/performance improvements, and rate of return are met.
• Prepare bid packages for construction and manage construction contracts.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project strategy, adjustments, and progress.
• Represent the company to industry associations, government officials, and public agencies.

Requirements

• Safety-Oriented: Sets a safety tone and upholds high safety standards.
• Education: BS degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or equivalent with substantial experience.
• Licenses: Preferred PE license.
• Experience: 7+ years of design experience in heavy industrial environments.
• Skills: Familiarity with project management and engineering software tools, methodologies, and best practices; experience with drafting software for industrial projects; experience supporting projects from concept to completion; knowledge of concrete and steel design, building codes, and construction practices.

Qualifications
