Senior Stress Analyst

Responsibilities

• Conduct stress analysis using linear and nonlinear solutions to define and evaluate missile propulsion subsystem and components from early concept through flight.
• Review and provide constructive feedback on models, reports, and deliverables.
• Review and approve drawings, design changes, specifications, development plans, and vendor analysis.
• Partner across a multidisciplinary engineering team to ensure structural integrity throughout the product lifecycle and guide design trades and decisions.
• Define and support structural test requirements, provide predictions, oversee test execution, and lead post-test activities to ensure requirements and objectives are met.
• Prepare and present technical findings with clarity and confidence to internal teams, customers, and program leadership at key design reviews and technical forums.
• Deliver high-quality analysis products and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering or similar technical field.
• Professional experience performing stress analysis of metallic structures.
• Experience participating in multidisciplinary design reviews.
• Experience using finite element tools (NX/Nastran, Abaqus, Ansys, FEMAP, or PATRAN).

Desired Skills

• Master’s degree in Aerospace, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in the planning and execution of structural development and qualification testing.
• Experience with Thermo-Structural analysis of high temperature alloys such as propulsion related hardware, jet and rocket engines, heat shields, solid or liquid rocket propulsion including hot gas systems, or any supporting or adjacent high temperature hardware.
• Experience with non-linear strain-based analysis, random vibe, shock, fatigue, or fracture analysis.
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated, and able and willing to support multiple projects.
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $118,000.00 - $219,100.00
