About the role
The Sr. Strategic Sourcing Specialist develops and executes sourcing strategies to reduce costs, enhance supplier value, and secure a competitive edge in key electronics categories. This role collaborates with divisional stakeholders to align and optimize sourcing strategies, manages supplier relationships, and supports the annual budget process.
Responsibilities
- Gather market intelligence and trends for the electronics category and sub-categories
- Identify suitable suppliers to develop a comprehensive supplier database
- Guide internal leads through a holistic and systematic category approach to material and supplier selection and management, identifying insourcing and outsourcing opportunities
- Manage strategic supplier relationships according to the category strategy and strategic differentiators for each supplier
- Analyze data and develop cost modeling tools (should-cost, COGS, etc.) to manage the category
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate issues and supplier-related risks
- Work with suppliers to promote continuous value improvement for quality, service, and cost
- Manage supplier performance and identify Value Improvement Programs (VIP) to improve total cost of ownership (TCO)
- Establish an optimal balance between collaborative engagement and competitive pressure with the supply base to ensure maximum value realization, including negotiations on supplier contracts and value improvements
- Support the annual budget process for assigned suppliers and resolve systematic issues
- Establish early involvement to achieve development performance goals, support project timelines, and manage product cost
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of direct sourcing experience and supplier relationship management
- Experience with MS Excel and other applications (Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.)
- Ability to travel globally up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or professional certification (CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
- Experience sourcing for electronic components for manufacturing operations
- Experience working in medical device or similar regulated industry
- Strong decision-making and negotiation skills, ability to influence internal and external teams
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills: process and results-oriented
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities effectively

Pay
Minimum Salary: $89,100
Maximum Salary: $169,300
Schedule
This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in the local office at least three days per week.
