Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Location: Waltham, MA (hybrid – mostly remote, in-person as needed for projects or team meetings)

Duration: 6+ months contract

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist with deep expertise in construction sourcing, delivery models, and contract strategy (e.g., EPC). The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor, guiding the business through risk assessment and selection of the most appropriate delivery model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) required; supply chain or business management degree preferred
• Master’s degree or professional certification in Supply Chain or Contract Management (e.g., CPSM, APICS, PMP)
• 5+ years of experience in a procurement role
• Experience managing $100M+ spend with contract and multi-year framework agreements
• Strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and vendor management expertise
• Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Ariba) and data tools (Power BI)
• Experience with construction project bidding (EPC, EPCM, GMP, Design/Bid/Build) and in-depth knowledge of multiple delivery models

• Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office applications
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for a multi-national, matrixed organization
• Proficient in planning, project management, stakeholder engagement, and business analysis
• Ability to clearly articulate positions and influence others
• Mentorship capabilities for junior buyers
• Willingness to travel across Massachusetts as needed
