About the role

The Senior Station Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a Delivery Station, including budgeting, personnel development, and operations. This role requires managing a team of managers, driving performance improvements, and ensuring high-quality service to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive vision and quality initiatives for the station team
  • Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations, Area and Shift Managers
  • Measure performance and hold managers accountable for departmental performance
  • Manage relationships with Delivery Service Providers (DSPs)
  • Present operational metrics to senior leadership
  • Hire and develop top talent, creating a talent plan including performance management, learning and development, succession planning, and employee engagement
  • Leverage the team to source and implement improvement plans
  • Cultivate a positive culture and engage employees at all levels
  • Work with key business partners to support projects and initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 7+ years' direct management experience, including salaried, hourly, and agency workforce, in logistics, fulfillment, last-mile manufacturing, engineering, production, or distribution
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering performance and financial-based results in high-pressure environments
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and lean techniques
  • Experience with the full lifecycle staffing, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations
  • Strong analytical capability; ability to dig into data and find solutions for operational problems
  • Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in local language and English
  • Experience managing third-party resources on a regional/national scale
  • Experience managing contingent workforce in a business with peak seasons
  • Flexible to work various hours, including overnight, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field, and MBA preferred
  • Experience in a startup environment
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and make good judgments in stressful situations
  • Interest in long-term career development

Benefits

Amazon offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, prescription, life insurance, AD&D, EAP, mental health support, and more. The base salary range for this position varies by location, ranging from $135,000 to $182,700 annually.
