Senior/Staff Test Engineer - Structures and Mechanisms

About the role

Design, build, and integrate test fixtures, tooling, and support hardware for spacecraft structural and mechanism testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and executing functional, environmental, and qualification tests (thermal, vibration, shock, deployment, pressure).
• Support test readiness reviews, coordinate testing schedules, and ensure safe operations.
• Develop testing infrastructure and create roadmaps for spacecraft qualification, defining resource needs to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing/building support hardware for aerospace or high-reliability systems.
• Hands-on experience with test execution, environmental/structural testing, and rapid prototyping.
• Proficiency in CAD software (NX, SolidWorks), mechanical analysis, and data management.
