Senior Staff Test Architect - Remote

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Test Architect to join our dynamic team focused on testing and ensuring the quality of our Cloud Data & Analytics Platform.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in architecting and implementing robust testing strategies, frameworks, and processes to support the development and deployment of our cloud-based data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design end-to-end testing strategies for our Cloud Data & Analytics Platform, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional, performance, security, and reliability aspects.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and quality assurance teams to integrate testing processes seamlessly into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Develop and implement automated testing frameworks for REST APIs, data processing, data visualization components within the cloud platform.
• Define and enforce best practices for testing within a cloud-native environment, taking into consideration scalability, resilience, and security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and cases.
• Lead efforts to identify and mitigate testing challenges related to distributed systems, data pipelines, and serverless modular architecture.
• Establish performance testing strategies for data-intensive applications and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Conduct code reviews and provide guidance on test automation best practices to the Development and test teams.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud testing and data engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Software Test Architect or similar role with a focus on cloud-based data platforms.
• In-depth understanding of cloud computing concepts, particularly in platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of data processing technologies, databases, and distributed systems.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, and Apache JMeter.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
