Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure Group

For a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join the Data Infrastructure Group. This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Guide complex initiatives from initial design to deployment, collaborating with stakeholders
• Build scalable data infrastructure and enhance developer experiences
• Provide technical guidance to engineering and research teams
• Shape the technical roadmap aligned with strategic engineering goals
• Mentor and develop other engineers, fostering a supportive team culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent)
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong software design and implementation skills with a focus on correctness and efficiency
• Experience with large codebases and building maintainable software
• Expertise in modern programming languages like Python, Go, Java, or C++
• Hands-on experience in Linux/UNIX environments
• Proficient in building scalable services and APIs, and working with data management technologies

Pay

$130,000 – $180,000 annually
