Senior Staff Software Engineer, Backend (Cards)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer, Backend (Cards) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will shape backend technical direction and long-term platform strategy for a critical financial product area. You will partner closely with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to align system decisions with business goals, reliability expectations, and long-range growth. The position also calls for strong leadership in driving technical change, mentoring senior engineers, and fostering a culture of ownership across the organization.
