Senior Staff Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Scope, plan, execute, and close medical device projects.
• Apply project management fundamentals: scheduling, tracking, budget management, and risk management.
• Define and manage scope across the product development life cycle.
• Establish, organize, facilitate, and follow up on cross-functional team meetings.
• Lead subject-matter experts through influence and credibility.
• Guide teams through a systematic Stage Gate product development process.
• Organize and present key project metrics, progress, and risks during Project Reviews.
• Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines while maintaining constructive working relationships.
• Develop and deliver formal communications and presentations.
• Build transparent customer relationships, negotiate requirements, and protect Confluent’s interests.
• Respond constructively to unexpected challenges, balancing tact, negotiation, and directness.
• Develop insight into internal and external business models, performance metrics, and financial drivers.
• Manage project budgets.
• Travel up to 20%.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Engineering (MS preferred).
• PMP Certification and/or Professional Project Management Certificate preferred.
• 8+ years of project management experience in a regulated environment.
• Experience with medical device projects and product development life cycles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
• Experience working with external customers and managing customer relationships.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
