You will be working in the Splunk and Cisco Cloud Control integration team. Cisco Cloud Control is the unified platform for Agentic Operations. It will provide streamlined management across all Cisco and Splunk products, AI-native experiences such as AI Canvas to accelerate customers' path to digital resilience, and an AI-powered Studio for customers to quickly build applications that solve critical problems in their organizations.

About the role

As a Senior Staff Product Manager at Splunk, you will help define, evolve, and lead a strategy to enhance Splunk products to power Agentic Operations within the Cisco Cloud Control ecosystem across Security, Observability, and the Splunk Platform.

  • Establish a strategy to outline the investments required to ensure Cisco and Splunk customers can get a fabulous experience to enhance their digital resilience with Agentic Operations and streamline their IT management processes with the Cisco Cloud Control Unified Platform.
  • Build a prioritized roadmap to guide engineering investments toward reaching short-, mid-, and long-term goals.
  • Write product requirement or PRFAQ documents to translate customer needs into actionable written materials that engineering, pricing, operations, and other teams can use to deliver customer value.
  • Define SMART metrics to ensure features and improvements deliver the right customer value.
  • Collect and act on relevant information from customers, analysts, competitors, and other sources to streamline prioritization decisions.
  • Collaborate with customers, engineering, UX, PMs, service operations, marketing, and field on a regular cadence to align the proposed strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in STEM with 11+ years of experience.
  • 7+ years of product management experience shipping enterprise/SaaS software products, ideally in networking, cloud, or security.
  • Experience defining multi-year product vision and roadmaps for cloud and enterprise software, preferably in a platform environment.
  • 3+ years of experience managing large initiatives that require building alignment across multiple business units and competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product experience in observability, cybersecurity, IT operations, machine data, or enterprise data intelligence.
  • Experience building platform capabilities used by multiple products, personas, or business domains across hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
  • Ability to lead customer discovery and align engineering, architecture, design, go-to-market, and partner teams around clear product outcomes.
  • Strong GTM instincts — you turn technical capabilities into customer-facing stories that resonate with customers. Experience with field sales, analyst relations, and marketing.
  • Ability to synthesize across multiple product lines and domains into a unified narrative, vision, and prioritized roadmap.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $169,300.00 to $237,200.00 for new hires in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training.

For certain locations, the full salary range is listed below:

  • New York City Metro Area: $194,600.00 - $328,600.00
  • Non-Metro New York State & Washington State: $179,000.00 - $294,000.00

For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges provided include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.

Schedule

U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco’s policies:

  • 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees
  • 1 paid day off for employee’s birthday
  • Paid year-end holiday shutdown
  • 4 paid days off for personal wellness
  • Non-exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees
  • Exempt employees participate in Cisco’s flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)
  • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next
  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer

For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco’s policies. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan.
