Senior Staff Nurse - Cardiology

About the role

As a Senior Staff Nurse in the Cardiology department at The Wellington Hospital, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional clinical care to patients. You will act as the deputy to the Sister/Charge Nurse, managing day-to-day operations, facilitating effective communication within the multidisciplinary team, and ensuring safe patient flow across clinical areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients in the Adult Cardiac Department.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the unit, including patient flow and resource allocation.
• Facilitate effective communication within the multidisciplinary team, including doctors, physiotherapists, and other nurses.
• Ensure compliance with clinical standards and policies.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

• Registered General Nurse with full NMC registration.
• Experience in an adult cardiac setting, with a strong understanding of the clinical needs of cardiac patients.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
