Senior Staff Generative AI Scientist - US Remote

Responsibilities

• Deliver solutions that help clients identify payment integrity issues, reduce healthcare costs, or improve healthcare quality.
• Work with stakeholders to assess potential value and risks of AI/ML use cases.
• Develop exploratory data analysis to verify hypotheses for AI/ML use cases.
• Document approach, thinking, and results for collaboration.
• Prepare trained models and develop validation test sets for QA.
• Deploy models into production and support monitoring.
• Collaborate with data science teams and participate in knowledge sharing sessions.
• Participate in design sessions to improve the machine learning platform.
• Provide end-to-end value-based solutions including data pipelines and model creation.

Qualifications

• PhD or Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research) covering Advanced Statistics, Machine Learning, and AI.
• Experience with NLP techniques including transformers, fine-tuning LLMs, measuring/benchmarking, and deploying LLMs using HuggingFace, Langchain, LLAMA/Mistral, OpenAI, vector databases.
• 9+ years of hands-on data science/AI experience with tools including pandas, scikit-learn, keras, nltk, TensorFlow/PyTorch, GPU.
• Good to have publication record in journals/conferences and/or history of innovation.
• Experience building production-grade ML deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Apache Spark and large-scale distributed datasets.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical and technical audiences is a plus.
• Passion for collaboration, learn-it-all mindset, and driving value with AI.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base compensation: $185,000 to $210,000 per year. Specific offers determined by experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
• Eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
