Senior Staff Engineer - Civil/Site

Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of civil/site plans, including grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion & sediment control
- Prepare construction documents, reports, and technical specifications
- Perform site layout, stormwater management, and utility design calculations
- Support the preparation of permit applications and regulatory submissions
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines
- Conduct site visits and assist with construction observation as needed
- Review and interpret survey data, zoning requirements, and environmental constraints
- Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in civil/site design (land development experience preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Familiarity with stormwater design and hydrology/hydraulics software (e.g., HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, or similar)
- Understanding of local permitting and regulatory processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or on track to obtain
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
- Exposure to municipal, commercial, or residential land development projects

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education, and skill set.
