Senior Staff Engineer - CFD/Thermal

We are looking for a Senior Staff Engineer - CFD/Thermal to join our team, reporting to the Sr. Director, Development Engineering. This position is fully onsite in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct CFD/Thermal studies for Energy server enclosures and site installations.
• Provide regular guidance on enclosure thermal management for Product development, from concept to production.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely inputs with accurate predictions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for feasibility studies.
• Report and present results/recommendations across diverse groups.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering.
• Deep understanding of the fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and CFD.
• 5+ years of industry experience utilizing CFD in Thermal management, particularly in Electronics/Data center cooling.
• Highly skilled in CFD tools: ANSYS Icepak (preferred), Fluent, or Flotherm.
• Able to utilize first principles for quick calculations and CFD models.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter and a quick learner.

Pay

Salary range: $151,700.00 - $218,300.00, including standard company benefits. Total compensation is based on relevant skills and experience.
