About the role
In this strategic role you will drive the process/metrology/defect reduction roadmap to meet technology development requirements.
Responsibilities
- Own key defect reduction roadmap projects to meet technology development requirements.
- Optimize and improve out of control (OOC) action plans for material that triggers defectivity limits.
- Develop strategy to partition defectivity problems and establish systems/processes in place to eliminate re-occurrence.
- Develop an off-line recipe creation system to more efficiently create defect inspection recipes that capture specific defects of interest (DOIs).
- Support R&D for any defect inspection or analysis needs.
- Document all aspects of the procedure in controlled documents and provide training to operators, technicians and engineers.
- Establish relationships across various departments to drive cohesive learning and cross functional problem solving.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Physics or related STEM field.
- 5+ years experience working as a defect engineer in a high volume semiconductor fab or similar experience.
- Understanding of semiconductor processes and equipment in Fabrication.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, responsive, team-driven manufacturing environment.
- Must be flexible for urgent technical support.
Location: Marcy, NY - Onsite 5 days per week.

Pay
Compensation Range $123,000.00 - $169,000.00. The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individual’s job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors.
