Senior Staff Auditor

About the role

A full-service CPA firm in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (Auditor) to lead review and compilation engagements for a diverse client base and assist with tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial statement compilation and review engagements according to GAAP and OCBOA.
• Manage engagements from start to completion, consulting directly with clients.
• Prepare engagement working papers, financial statements, and client correspondence.
• Prepare and review WIP and Percentage Completion Schedules for construction industry clients.
• Prepare individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 1041.
• Collaborate with staff to take on increasing responsibility and deliver smaller projects.
• Ensure high-quality, timely delivery and a positive client experience for all projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting and tax experience in a CPA firm setting.
• Experience with compilation and review of GAAP and OCBOA financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of assurance and accounting standards.
• Experience with Engagement Manager from Thompson Reuters (required).
• Proficiency with Ultratax CS (preferred).
• Knowledge of construction accounting, including WIP Schedules and CIP, is a plus.
