Senior Staff Accountant | Scottsdale, AZ (Hybrid)Vaco has partnered with an established organization to hire a Senior Staff Accountant in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role will join the general ledger team and take ownership of complex accounting activities, including revenue recognition, reconciliations, monthly close, audit support, and process improvements. Compensation and Benefits:Base salary of $85,000-$95,000, depending on experience. Hybrid schedule with Friday work-from-home flexibility. Contribute to process improvements, standardized procedures, and stronger internal controls. Gain exposure to annual audit support, tax requests, variance analysis, and financial-system projects. Join a collaborative general ledger team with visibility to accounting leadership. Responsibilities include:Own general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.Manage accounting for assigned revenue streams and support complex accounting transactions.Partner with accounting and finance teams to analyze results and resolve account variances.Assist with annual audits, tax support requests, and financial reporting activities.Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance controls, and increase efficiency.Participate in system enhancements and cross-functional projects while supporting team initiatives. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. (Required)2-3+ years of accounting experience with exposure to general ledger accounting and month-end close. (Required)Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, account reconciliations, and financial reporting concepts. (Required)Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems. (Required)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. (Required)Experience with revenue recognition, audit support, process improvements, or system implementations.
