About the role
As a Senior Staff Accountant at Manatee Memorial Hospital, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable processes to maintain accurate records and timely payments.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper allocation of resources and cost control.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities to assist in financial planning and decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare settings is a plus.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
