About the role
This position in the Accounting Department is responsible for accounts payable activities, general ledger monitoring, and the preparation of various financial reports. The role emphasizes customer care for internal and external queries and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high degree of customer care for all internal or external queries.
- Manage accounts payable with accurate and timely entries.
- Administer and manage the Fiserv/Prologue accounting system.
- Create and maintain vendor management files and assist with vendor risk assessments.
- Handle the proper recording and depreciation of fixed assets.
- Review general ledger accounts for appropriateness.
- Coordinate with the Controller & CFO to process end-of-month entries.
- Prepare and provide documents for internal auditors, external auditors, and regulatory exams.
- Assist the Controller/CFO as requested.
- Consistently promote the bank and maintain positive relationships with customers, potential customers, the community, vendors, and staff.
- Protect the bank’s information technology (IT) systems and data by complying with technology policies.
- Exercise awareness of suspicious activity, money laundering, or fraudulent behavior; document and report any identified behavior or transactions to the appropriate officer.
- Participate as an active member on assigned committees or task forces.
- Complete assigned training in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- 3+ years of experience in a financial institution.
Physical Demands
- Hearing, speech, and close vision.
- Sitting, including extended computer use.
- Driving with own transportation to other branches for meetings/workshops.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 25 pounds.
- Filing responsibilities may include standing, walking, lifting, kneeling, and crouching.
