About the role
This position supports the day-to-day general accounting activities of the division, including general accounting, bank cash management, and general ledger activity.
Responsibilities
- Post cash receipts via Coupa bank statements to the general ledger
- Communicate with banks as needed for day-to-day transactional problem resolution
- Perform month end rebilling and management fees
- Reconcile inter-company sales and purchases as part of the month end closing process
- Complete month end journal entry and support
- Responsible for timely sales and use tax calculations and filing
- Support fixed asset creation and maintenance with plant controllers
- Prepare month end SOX control documentation
- Provide support for annual internal and external SOX/financial audits
- Assist in month end closing as required
- Assist in monthly analysis of operating expenses versus budgets
- Handle tax documentation requests
- Follow all food safety procedures and practices to promote our food safety culture
- Assist in other projects as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: CPA and/or MBA is a plus.

- Knowledge of finance and accounting principles, such as US GAAP and internal control / SOX
- Strong analytical, problem solving and deductive reasoning skills
- Ability to identify and analyze relevant information to draw conclusions and make informed judgments
- Ability to develop systems and methods of operation to ensure proper financial reporting
- Time management skills including ability to prioritize and organize work to maximize efficiency
- Strong computer spreadsheet modeling and word processing skills (MS Office)
- Knowledge of JDE Accounting software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
- Language skills: ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups
- Mathematical skills: ability to work with probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry; apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Reasoning ability: solve practical problems with limited standardization; interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
