Job Summary The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for managing and executing various accounting functions, including vendor invoice processing, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational decision-making and ensure compliance with company policies. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Review, process, and ensure timely payment of approved vendor invoices and employee expense reports.Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company accounting policies.Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies, resolving issues in a timely manner.Analyze financial data and account activity to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with company policies.Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.Collaborate with business partners and department leaders to provide financial insights and support operational decision-making.Generate and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational reports.Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within accounting operations.Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis activities as needed.Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, assisting with training and knowledge sharing.Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process optimization initiatives as assigned.Perform other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Familiarity with Accounts Payable processes.Proficient with Microsoft Excel.Experience with Sage Intacct required.Experience with Concur/Expense Management a plus.Strong attention to detail, with an emphasis on accuracy in documentation and data input.Proven ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks concurrently.Experience with Tableau/Python a plus.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.5+ years of progressive accounting experience required. This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $39.40/hour - $52.54/hour Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K
