Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. You will be preparing financial statements, managing monthly close process, accountant reconciliations, financial reporting analysis, and supporting A/R and A/P transactions. This role has great potential to grow into the Assistant Controller / Controller role for the right person!

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and presenting accurate and timely financial reports to senior management.
  • Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including SOX.
  • Acting as backup in support for the company's accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assisting with the creation of the annual operating plan (AOP) and financial forecasts.
  • Managing monthly close process including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis, and review of control activities.
  • Collaborating with other departments to develop and implement financial strategies.
  • Assisting with financial audits, and coordinating with external auditors as necessary.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience with SOX. Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Baan, or Infor will be a plus.
  • Experience assisting in A/R and A/P transactions will be a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Manage cost accounting activities including standard cost analysis and rollover, inventory count and reserve analysis, Capex and fixed assets activities recording.

Salary

$80,000 - $110,000 per year
