Senior Staff Accountant

A SaaS StartUp in NYC seeks Accountant to join their growing team.
Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, collections, bill pay, and expense management.
- Oversee the accounts receivable function, including customer collections and follow-up to ensure timely payment.
- Process and manage accounts payable and vendor payments.
- Support and help improve billing processes while partnering with internal teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform bank reconciliations across multiple accounts, including QuickBooks and Ramp transactions.
- Reconcile and code corporate credit card expenses and employee expense reports.
- Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, amortization schedules, and fixed asset activity.
- Aid in month-end close and support financial reporting requirements.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Support the Controller and Finance leadership team through close, reporting, and audit-related activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 2+ years of accounting experience; experience in a startup, SaaS company, or small business environment strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment.
