About the role

This position operates in a hybrid work environment, with responsibilities performed both remotely and in a professional office setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries, reconcile bank and general ledger accounts, support month-end and year-end close, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure accounting transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Prepare financial reports, supporting schedules, audit documentation, fixed asset reconciliations, and assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and resolving accounting discrepancies.
  • Provide support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, and other accounting functions while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards.
  • Support the Finance Department by coordinating calendars, meetings, correspondence, reports, presentations, document management, invoices, purchase requests, expense reports, and departmental resources.
  • Cook up communication with internal and external stakeholders, track department projects and deadlines, assist with audits and special projects, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

  • Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required.

  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field required.
  • Experience Requirement: Five (5) years of accounting experience. Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Nonprofit accounting experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with accounting and financial software systems preferred.
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.

Skills

Pay

The base pay is $30.19/hour. With education and experience, you could start out making more than that.

Schedule

This position is Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm. No holidays, No weekends.
