Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Promotes superior guest service.
- Defines, maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and Core Values.
- Prepares general journal entries.
- Reviews journal entries and supporting documents prepared by staff accountants for accuracy and completeness.
- Completes monthly departmental financial reports and conducts analysis and research of budget vs. actual variances to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepares daily, monthly, and ad hoc reports as assigned.
- Attends required company training and meetings.
- Follows department policies and procedures in accordance with corporate policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintains the strictest confidence of all confidential information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Four-year degree in accounting or related field with an emphasis in accounting from an accredited university.
- Five (5) years of general ledger accounting duties in a professional office setting.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
- Thorough knowledge of financial and accounting principles and familiarity with GAAP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
- Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a gaming and/or hospitality environment preferred.
- Experience in preparing internal financial reports preferred.
- Experience with Workday preferred.
- Experience tracking and monitoring expenses related to large internal construction projects preferred.
