Senior Staff Accountant
About the role
Entertainment Technology Partners (ETP) is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support financial operations, reporting, and analysis across our growing organization. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, analyzing variances, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts.
Review divisional financial statements, analyze budget versus actual variances, and provide reporting insights.
Maintain fixed asset records and process disposals, depreciation, and related journal entries.
Assist with financial analysis, account reclassifications, and resolving unusual or incorrect entries.
Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities across departments.
Maintain accurate inter-company transactions, payroll accruals, and cost coding processes.
Monitor prepaid expenses and allocate costs appropriately across reporting periods.
Review reconciliations, sales tax filings, commissions, accruals, and month-end close activities.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and financial workflows.
Partner with operational teams and leadership to support business objectives and financial decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
Experience with accounting software and financial management systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Strong communication skills and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis preferred.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
CPA certification is preferred but not required.
Skills
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
Knowledge of financial management systems and processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
