About the role

This position assists with the Palmilla Vacation Rental Program’s owner and operational accounting, including preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, account reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting functions such as accounts payable and receivable. The accountant primarily reconciles balance sheet accounts and assists with month-end journal entries and procedures. The role is based at the CoralTree Hospitality Home office in Englewood, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing A/P invoices and prepare and process payment batches weekly.
  • Assist staff with month-end processing and close.
  • Perform month-end bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with Rental Program Owner accounting functions.
  • Verify all revenue between Track and Owner Accounts.
  • Verify postings of work order billable charges, vendor billbacks, and Transient Occupancy Taxes.
  • Print and post all owner’s statements on the Owners Portal.
  • Assist with bank deposits.
  • Maintain excellent relations with guests, owners, and associates, responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Handle owners and guests with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Foster a team environment of cooperation and support, maintaining clear communication with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Fulfill all job responsibilities and additional tasks assigned by the Area Director of Finance or Regional Director of Finance.
  • Adhere to all company policies and standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper lifting techniques and equipment use.
  • Ensure regular and punctual attendance, reporting to work on time and as scheduled.
  • Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Hotel Administration, or a Business/Finance-related field preferred. Some college accounting or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two years of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable experience.
  • Minimum two years in Property Management and Owner Trust accounting.
  • Hospitality experience with exposure to Food and Beverage and Gold operations is desirable.
  • Experience with accounting systems: MS Office, ProfitSword, Track PMS, and HIA.
  • Experience in income audit, AP, and general accounting transactions.
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Excel spreadsheet applications.
  • Knowledge of general payroll functions.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multitask while performing general job duties.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with co-workers, vendors, guests, and owners.

Pay

$65,000 - $75,000
