Summary We’re currently seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant for our Walnut Creek office. The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for tax services provided to clients such as federal, state, and local income tax preparation, tax projections and analysis, and notice resolution. This position will involve client-facing activities, providing comprehensive tax services to new and existing clients, and assisting our advisors and financial planning team with strategic tax planning. This is a full-time, Exempt role based out of Walnut Creek, CA. This position is a hybrid role if you are located near one of our offices. The base salary range for this role is $115,000-$135,000 per year depending on location and experience. In addition, we also provide generous benefits to all our full-time employees. Duties And Responsibilities Apply technical knowledge to prepare and review individual and business entity income taxReview situations and transactions to determine federal, state and local filing requirementsAnalyze and respond to the IRS, state, and local tax agency noticesParticipate in tax strategy discussions with clients and collaborate with their financial advisorsIdentify and resolve client tax related questions and issuesExhibit strong communication skills (verbal; written; presentation) with clients, advisors, tax authorities, firm staff, and managementReview staff work, provide training and constructive feedbackPerforms other duties as assigned Qualifications BS/BA Degree, accounting preferredActive CPA/EA license preferred5+ years individual/business entity tax preparation experienceProficiency in income tax planning and complianceMulti-state tax preparation/filing experience preferredExperience preparing and reviewing complex individual and business tax returns; trust, estate and 709 experience is a plus.Strong Excel and other software skillsIntuit Lacerte tax software experience preferredExcellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detailStrong interpersonal and client service skillsAbility to handle multiple priorities, clients and tight deadlines Benefits We value our associates’ time and effort.
