About The Role

Grüns is hiring a Senior Specialist, Supplier Quality to take full ownership of supplier quality across our co-manufacturer and supplier network, from qualification through ongoing performance. This role is part of our remote HQ with a fully remote, high-trust work environment, including biannual in-person off-sites. This role also requires monthly travel to supplier and co-manufacturer facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Own the supplier qualification program end to end, covering suppliers, co-manufacturers, co-packers, laboratories, and distribution partners
  • Conduct and coordinate on-site audits across our facility network, including our distribution centers and our growing co-manufacturer base
  • Lead supplier corrective action (SCAR) management, from root cause investigation through effectiveness verification
  • Build and maintain supplier scorecards and run routine performance reviews
  • Verify GFSI, cGMP, food safety, and regulatory compliance at supplier and co-manufacturer sites
  • Support new supplier onboarding and quality readiness for new product launches
  • Travel monthly to supplier and co-manufacturer facilities (1-4 days per visit depending on whether it's a check-in or a full audit)

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in supplier quality, food safety, QA, or supply chain compliance
  • HACCP certified with hands-on experience applying it in a supplier or manufacturing environment
  • Holds an Internal Auditor certification and has used it to lead real audits, not just earn the credential
  • Worked directly within a GFSI certification scheme (SQF, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, or similar)
  • Experience running or supporting supplier audits and managing corrective action processes from start to finish
  • Knowledge of FDA food safety regulations and supplier verification requirements
  • Comfortable with regular travel, including multi-day audit trips to facilities across states

Approach to the role

  • Spots risk before it becomes a problem—proactive, not reactive
  • Builds real working relationships with suppliers, not just paper trails
  • Organized and data-driven—makes decisions based on evidence, not gut feel
  • Communicates clearly and follows through on every commitment
  • Comfortable jumping into whatever the team needs—we're a small, scrappy group and everyone pitches in

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary range plus bonus depending on experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package designed to support well-being and growth
  • Generous PTO
  • Free Grüns subscriptions
  • Additional perks centered around health and well-being
