Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance our Kubernetes-based cloud architecture
- Implement and maintain security automation using AWS EventBridge, GuardDuty, and Inspector
- Support Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions using Keycloak
- Aid in migrating third-party toolchains to AWS native solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications for our Satellite Ground Systems
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, driving adoption of DevOps pipelines, automated testing, containerization (Kubernetes), and cloud deployment practices across the enterprise
- Work collaboratively with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline
Requirements
- Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development environment, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or equivalent
- Experience with the Kubernetes Container Network Interface (CNI) and Custom Resource Definitions (CRD)
- Experience of networking principles and security best practices in an AWS cloud environment
- Experience with Linux environments, including scripting, configuration, and software deployment
- Experience with AWS services such as license management
- Experience with configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CDK, OpenTofu, Cloud Formation)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Experience with AWS services such as license management
- Experience with configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CDK, OpenTofu, Cloud Formation)
Preferred Additional Skills
- Familiarity with Agile workflow tools and collaborative version-control practices (Git, JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
- Experience with container observability tools such as Prometheus, PromQL, and Grafana
- Experience with Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
- Experience implementing security best practices in cloud environments
- Experience managing licenses within cloud environments
- Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (Splunk sidecar, CloudWatch, AWS Forwarder, etc.)
- Experience with iterative software development processes (Agile, SCRUM, Kanban)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Associate

Pay
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
