Senior Specialist Legal Editor, Capital Markets & Corporate Governance (Startups)

About the role

This position provides business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations, strengthening responsible execution, improving decision-making, and supporting sustainable growth within a media environment.

Responsibilities

• Research, draft, and maintain legal content for startups in alignment with market practices.
• Monitor legal developments affecting startups to keep content relevant.
• Support AI tool development by identifying methods that integrate content and AI solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Management on tech development and product enhancements.
• Develop internal AI editorial tools using legal expertise.
• Maintain relationships with law firms and industry groups for content accuracy and relevance.
• Assist sales and marketing teams by responding to customer inquiries.

Requirements

• JD required.
• Minimum of eight years experience as a lawyer, ideally with startups.
• Strong technical skills, especially with generative AI technologies.
• Deep curiosity about AI's intersection with legal practice.
• Ability to write clearly about complex legal topics in plain English.
• Adaptability to diverse projects and emerging technologies.

Pay

$119,700 – $222,300 annually.
