About the role
This role is located in Lake Mary, FL. You will prepare and review accounting statements on behalf of clients, assist in working with auditors and clients to ensure statements are accurately produced and verified on a timely basis, and draft accounting statements and reports, incorporating fund calculations, for clients to review fund performance.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and reviews accounting statements on behalf of clients.
- Affords assistance in working with auditors and clients to ensure statements are accurately produced and verified on a timely basis.
- Reviews fund balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, and statement of shareholders equity to ensure reported numbers are reconciled.
- Drafts accounting statements and reports, incorporating fund calculations, for clients to review fund performance.
- Ensures completeness and accuracy of disclosure and that financial reports meet Corporate and applicable regulatory standards.
- Affords assistance in collaborating with auditors and clients to make changes to financial reports and ensure they accurately depict fund performance.
- Affords assistance in developing materials for presentation to Board of Directors.
- Escalates more complex accounting discrepancies to senior team members.
- Provides guidance to less experienced team members and may have people management responsibilities in some geographies.
- Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of total work experience preferred.
- Experience in accounting preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with auditors, clients, and internal teams.
- People leadership experience (if applicable) or willingness to provide guidance to junior team members.
