Responsibilities

  • Support Mission System Desktop Trainer development, as well as platform integration and troubleshooting efforts on OA-1K aircraft.
  • Serve as a SME throughout the software development lifecycle by supporting user feedback and requirements development, testing engineering builds, troubleshooting user issues in the classroom/aircraft environment, and maintaining related documentation.
  • Install equipment, machines, wiring, or software programs to meet specifications.
  • Setup and maintain hardware and software configurations on computer networks, including software integration lab, training simulation and aircraft mission equipment.
  • Provide customer technical support and resolve engineering service calls.
  • Provide direct on-site engineering assistance for integration efforts and test events.
  • Provide in-flight test engineering support.
  • Aid in training development and training execution, including systems training at integrator/support locations and operator training at customer locations.
  • Create ground and flight test cards to support aircraft mission systems and software checks.
  • Closely integrate with multiple agile software development teams, adding subject-matter expertise during the requirements, design, testing and implementation phases of software release.

Qualifications

  • Secret Clearance required
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience performing the aforementioned functions.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (20-25% expected), often on short notice, including OCONUS trips
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Department of Defense Instructor/Evaluator
  • Expert ability to build positive relationships with both customers and software development teams
  • Strong ability to operate independently, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with applicable regulations and norms
  • Two (2) or more years of experience as an operator of L3Harris ForceX software applications
  • One to three (1-3) years of full-time experience directly related to developing education and training programs for technical and/or software products
  • Appropriate technology industry certifications such as CompTIA’s A+/Network+/Security+/Server+, Cisco CCNA/CCDA, Microsoft MTA/MCSA, etc.
  • Current holder of a FAA Class III or higher Flight Medical clearance (or the ability to pass one)
