About the role

Responsibilities

  • Administer, extend, negotiate, and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts.
  • Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities.
  • Examine estimates of material, equipment, services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare bids; process specifications, progress, and other reports; advise management on contractual rights and obligations.
  • Compile and analyze data; maintain historical information.
  • Interpret contract requirements and track contractual performance to requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for contractual communication between L3Harris and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with federal procurement regulatory requirements.
  • Assist procurement personnel with contracting tasks, including establishing flow-down terms and conditions.
  • Utilize knowledge of regulations including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements (e.g. DFARS) and other agency regulations.
  • Read and interpret contracts and statements of work (SOW).
  • Manage multiple projects and prioritize appropriately.
  • Possess strong attention to detail, identifying discrepancies and inconsistencies in data and documents, ensuring high levels of accuracy and quality in all work outputs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum 4 years experience working with Defense programs, FAR/DFARS, and TINA.
  • Must be a US citizen.

Preferred Skills

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract negotiations.
  • Proficiency in utilizing and interpreting financial models and analyses.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), organization, negotiation skills, and management skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS office applications (strong Excel and Word skills).
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple contracts with minimal assistance from others.
  • Excellent people skills with a positive attitude, able to collaborate in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team environment.
