Senior Specialist, Business Operations & Engagement, AWS HR
About the role
The Specialist for AWS PXT Business Operations and Internal Engagement serves as the operational engine of the AWS PXT people agenda — owning the mechanisms, cadences, and communications that keep a global HR organization aligned, accountable, and connected. This role sits at the intersection of business operations, AI-enabled process design, and employee engagement, and is responsible for translating strategic priorities into repeatable, measurable execution.
Responsibilities
Business Cadence & Rhythm of the Business
- Owns the full AWS PXT cadence: WBRs, MBRs, QBRs, offsites, and strategic planning (3YP, OP1/OP2)
- Drives business reviews including metrics dashboards, goals dashboards, and offline review packages
- Manages long-range and annual planning processes; coordinates cross-functional alignment mechanisms
AI-Enabled Automation
- Serves as the team's AI adoption champion — testing tools and embedding practical applications into cadences
- Identifies opportunities to reduce manual effort, increase speed, and improve data quality
Goals Management
- Manages annual goal uploads, dashboards, monthly reviews, and stakeholder coordination across all AWS PXT sub-teams
- Runs semi-annual 1:1 goal reviews with HR Senior Team Leads; produces "Goals Health" reporting
Internal Engagement & Communications
- Leads internal communications programming: Global Town Halls, CloudKeepers forums, PXT Huddles, and recognition programs
- Owns the engagement calendar and tracks sentiment metrics to guide programming decisions
- Manages leadership messaging and maintains permission groups for communications and data access
Strategic Partnership
- PARTNER WITH AWS PXT LEADERS ON QBR DOCUMENTS, PEOPLE PLAN DEVELOPMENT, AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COORDINATION

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Program Management, Human Resources, Employment Law, Computer Science, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research or a related field
- 5+ years of HR, talent acquisition, management consulting, or project/program management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
- Experience creating and implementing large-scale organizational programs
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience improving and creating new processes and structure to achieve goals
