Senior Space Systems Engineer

About the role

You are confident in your technical capabilities, willing to continue learning new technologies as mission needs morph, and desire to work on-site in El Segundo, CA side-by-side with our teammates and customers on a small-agile team.

Responsibilities

• Support the program office integrated product teams in the development, deployment and sustainment of USSF’s National Security Space system within Space Systems Command Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SSC/SZ) system program office.
• Organize and conduct ACAT-like technical design reviews and audits.
• Develop, update and coordinate ACAT-like program documentation.

Requirements

• Highly knowledgeable of classified space control systems engineering processes and procedures, including requirements development, technical design reviews, configuration control, government deficiency review board establishment, execution and DR disposition and management.
• Experience developing, updating and coordinating ACAT-like program documentation.

Qualifications

• MA/MS in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical engineering, math and/or physics. A bachelor’s degree is acceptable if the candidate has at least 12 years of experience in this type of position or program.
• US Citizenship
• Active TS and SCI eligible
• Willing to consent to a Counter-Intelligence polygraph examination
