Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategy for active components (semiconductors, ICs, FPGAs, power devices, memory).
- Optimize supplier base, drive dual/multi-sourcing, and manage supplier segmentation.
- Align supplier roadmaps with technology evolution, NPI, and lifecycle requirements.
- Lead strategic negotiations with key suppliers (pricing, contracts, capacity, terms).
- Execute RFQ/RFP processes and allocate business based on cost, capability, and risk.
- Drive cost productivity, payment terms improvements, and contract coverage.
- Ensure continuity of supply through proactive risk assessment (capacity, allocation, geopolitical risks).
- Develop mitigation strategies including alternate sourcing, buffering, and supplier diversification.
- Manage supplier escalations, claims, and recovery actions.
- Lead PCN/EOL management, last-time-buy strategies, and lifecycle risk mitigation.
- Partner with Component Engineering to reduce legacy dependency and improve product longevity.
- Drive value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
- Enable alternate component qualification and platforming opportunities for cost reduction.
- Deliver measurable cost savings through cross-functional execution.
- Provide insights on pricing trends, lead times, and supply-demand dynamics.
- Use data analytics to support sourcing decisions and cost forecasting.
- Collaborate with Engineering, SBUs, Quality, EMS, and Program Management teams.
- Support NPI programs, redesign initiatives, and compliance requirements.
- Drive alignment across global stakeholders to ensure execution excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering with Supply Chain or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in sourcing electronic components / semiconductors.
- Proven experience in supplier management, negotiations, and strategy deployment.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
