Senior Sourcing Agent (Hybrid Schedule)

About the role

Eversource is seeking a Procurement Specialist to drive sourcing strategies, manage the bid process, and negotiate purchases for medium to high-dollar/complexity requirements. This role supports the company's strategic direction and builds an organization capable of executing procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Tactical: Collaborates with colleagues to drive cross-functional teams through all stages of the sourcing process, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract implementation.
• Strategic Networking: Builds supportive internal and external relationships within Procurement and across functions.
• Communication: Consistently communicates effectively with various business groups and leverages business knowledge to achieve positive procurement outcomes.
• Technical Knowledge/Skill: Requires advanced sourcing and procurement best practice process knowledge, purchasing knowledge, including expertise in the category area and full understanding of purchasing and inventory systems.
• Education & Experience: Minimum of five (5) years related experience, including purchasing, negotiating/drafting contracts, contract management, supplier development, and supplier qualification/certification.
• Licenses & Certifications: Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), Six Sigma, Lean, Process or Project Mgmt. Certifications desirable.

Requirements

• Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required.
• Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
• Must have advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Qualifications

• Full understanding of contracting practices and General Terms and Conditions (GTC).
• Establishes and monitors contract and supplier performance including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Completes thorough market analysis and works with the Supplier Engagement Specialist to identify viable businesses for all sourcing opportunities.
• Updates, processes, and accurately approves procurement records as directed, identifies issues with the data and works with business partners to develop their understanding.

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. Salary is commensurate with your experience. This position is eligible for a potential incentive. The annual salary range for this position is: $111,050.00-$123,390.00.
