What You’ll Do
- Enterprise Deal Leadership
- Own the technical strategy for complex, high value enterprise opportunities from discovery through close
- Lead technical discovery to uncover business objectives, success criteria, and solution requirements
- Architect and present solutions that clearly map Yext capabilities to customer outcomes
- Serve as the primary technical voice in customer conversations with marketers, developers, and executive stakeholders
- Serve as a thought leader in search and AI visibility, educating customers and internal teams on emerging trends in AI-driven discovery
- Embeddable Problem Solving
- Embed alongside our largest brands to learn how their teams actually work, where Yext fits today, and where it should fit tomorrow
- Prototype, build, and demo working solutions — scripts, integrations, custom workflows — that resolve specific customer challenges and accelerate decisions
- Turn one-off custom work into repeatable patterns, reference architectures, and productized capabilities that other customers can adopt
- Surface gaps in the customer’s stack that, once solved, open new commercial surface area for Yext
- Solution Design & Value Storytelling
- Deliver compelling demos, workshops, and presentations tailored to executive and technical audiences
- Translate technical capabilities into clear, outcome-driven business value and ROI narratives
- Identify technical risks early and drive plans to address them
- Support RFPs and RFIs with clear, credible solution responses
- Sales Partnership & Commercial Impact
- Partner with Account Executives and executive sales leadership to qualify opportunities and align on technical win strategies
- Build and develop technical champions throughout the sales process
- Uncover expansion paths and drive measurable pull-through across Yext’s product lines
- Contribute to improved win rates, deal quality, and forecast confidence through disciplined execution
- Shape competitive positioning by articulating Yext’s differentiated value
- Cross Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Product, Product Marketing, and Enablement to share customer feedback, market insights, and help shape the Yext product roadmap
- Feed solutions built in the field back into Product so they can be hardened, scaled, and shipped to all customers
- Collaborate with Professional Services and Customer Success so transitions post-sale are smooth and contribute to customer retention
- Support regional events, executive briefings, and customer reference activities as needed
- Team Leadership & Growth
- Act as a mentor to other Solutions Engineers, sharing what works and the technical expertise you’ve built in the field
- Contribute to onboarding and enablement efforts for new team members
- Continuously invest in learning and stay current on Yext’s platform, AI driven search, and the broader digital experience landscape
What You Have
- 5 plus years of experience in Solutions Engineering, technical presales, forward deployed engineering, or similar roles within SaaS
- Experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
- Hands-on technical experience — comfort working with LLM tools and building prototypes that solve real customer problems
- Strong ability to translate technical concepts into business focused narratives
- Comfort engaging with executive and technical audiences
- Experience working within structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or similar
- A commercial instinct — you see technical work as a way to grow accounts, not just close them
- Proven ability to operate independently and take ownership of outcomes
- Collaborative mindset and comfort working across teams
- Willingness to travel to various regions supported by Yext (estimated 25%)
Bonus Points
- Experience with digital experience platforms, search technologies, or AI driven products
- Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and modern web architectures
- Experience supporting enterprise marketing, digital, or customer experience teams
- Previous time in a forward deployed, embedded, or technical account engineer role
