Senior Solutions Engineer

What You Will Do

• Define Klarna product solutions for major merchants and partners based on their needs.
• Closely collaborate with the sales team to provide technical product knowledge and support during the sales process.
• Act as a trusted advisor for both internal and external stakeholders, owning all technical aspects of the pre-sales process and delivering solution proposals to clients.
• Lead product demos and presentations, provide technical input into customer proposals, and translate product and business requirements into innovative solutions.
• When a customized solution requires development, define the client’s needs, architect the solution together with the client, and lead the realization effort.

Who You Are

• Minimum 6 years’ experience working with and/or implementing technical solutions.
• Experience integrating with or supporting Payment Service Providers (PSPs), gateways, or acquirers.
• Experience leading technical deep-dives and pre-sales discussions while managing client expectations.
• Outstanding problem-solving ability, eagerness to learn, and curiosity.
• Adaptable and comfortable with continuous change.
• Familiar with at least one modern back-end language (Java, TypeScript/Node.js, C#/.NET, or Go) and API design (REST, webhooks, OAuth).
• Experience with modern payment tech stacks (eComm platforms, PSPs/gateways, orchestration layers).
• Sales or account management experience is a plus.
• Awesome at communicating complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with card network concepts (settlement, tokenization, disputes, transaction monitoring).
• Confident presenting solutions with Account Managers to clients.
• Thrives in a rapidly evolving ecosystem.
• Quick, creative, humble, and driven to exceed expectations.
