Senior Solutions Developer, Prototyping and Customer Engineering (PACE)
About the role
The Prototyping and Customer Engineering (PACE) team helps customers create early iterations of products and solutions, often exploring new technical grounds. This role involves partnering with customers and other AWS teams to craft solutions addressing customer use cases and accelerating AWS adoption.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers on a specific use case to determine desired outcomes, define a scope, and design and implement it (code, CDK, docs) with a small team of developers in 6 weeks.
- Identify opportunities to scale your impact through internal and external facing initiatives.
- Mentor others.
Requirements
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
Qualifications
- Experience with designing and building applications using AWS services such as Lambda, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Kubernetes.
- 5+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning), GenAI (Generative AI), Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience.
Skills
The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a developer or hands-on solutions architect. You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones. You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS. As a technical leader, you combine design and architecture knowledge with development capability (i.e. comfortable on the white-board and also on the keyboard).

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
- USA, IL, Chicago - 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, TX, Dallas - 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington - 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually
