Senior Solutions Developer

About the role

Southland Industries is a national provider of performance-based energy and infrastructure solutions. The Senior Solutions Developer will develop energy solutions tailored to the technical and business needs of clients in the commercial, municipal, and federal energy markets. This role involves managing technical resources, leading project development, and selling successful projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site investigations to gather information on existing mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems, and document energy performance data.
• Collaborate with sales and operations to develop, sell, manage risks, and execute performance contracts.
• Evaluate opportunities for energy conservation, efficiency, or renewable technology and prepare related energy savings calculations and technical assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, business, or a closely related field.
• At least 10 years of construction engineering experience, including 5 years in developing and delivering energy projects in federal and municipal markets.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze, quantify, and qualify energy savings and implement complex technical solutions involving supply-side savings opportunities, HVAC, water conservation, waste management, distributed generation, and renewable energy technologies.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead diverse teams.
• Understanding of construction practices relevant to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system installation.
• Knowledge of financial planning and budgeting required to develop and present clear business cases for customers and Southland leadership.
• Experience in energy audits, studies, and overall energy analysis, specifically in the ESCO/Energy Industry.
• Knowledge of HVAC, lighting, water-use, metering, and generation technologies.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
