About the role
The Google for Education Solutions Engineering team manages technology integration and innovation in schools and universities. As a Solutions Engineer, you will develop and execute the technical Go-to-Market strategy for Google for Education, focusing on strategic accounts and new technology adoption like Gemini AI. You will act as a technical trusted advisor to key institutions.
Responsibilities
- Identify customer business and academic requirements to design and architect solutions that integrate Gemini into their existing infrastructure.
- Work closely with our Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to provide customer feedback, influence the product roadmap, and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Prepare and present compelling demonstrations of Gemini, and address technical questions that arise throughout the sales and adoption process.
- Take responsibility for technical aspects of solutions, including bid responses, product and solution briefings, partner training, proof-of-concept work, and coordinating supporting technical resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in a technical project management or customer-facing role.
- 6 years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, education technology, or related fields.
- Experience with SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and web technologies.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in sales engineering or technical consultancy.
- Experience with AI/ML technologies and their application in education.
- Experience supporting technology adoption and change-management initiatives.
- Understanding of Higher Ed/K-12 IT infrastructure and identity management (SSO).
Benefits
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $140000 - $205000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
