Senior Solutions Architect, WWPS Migrations & Modernization

About the role

As a Senior Solutions Architect within the AWS Worldwide Public Sector team, you will work with and enable our enterprise account teams, customers and partners to accelerate their cloud adoption journey. Driving customer engagements, you will have an exciting opportunity to help customers maximize the benefits of the cloud through application migration and modernization.

Responsibilities

• Create, articulate, and position an innovative and compelling value proposition so that customer executives clearly realize the benefits and transformation value of migrating to AWS.
• Define and execute technical migration strategies by working with highly technical teams within AWS (Solutions Architects, CSMs, Technical Account Managers, professional services consultants and consulting/managed services partners).
• Deliver modern architectures such as microservices and event-driven architectures using managed services and cloud native capabilities.
• Engage with development, infrastructure, security and IT operations teams at the customer and identify repeatable patterns and architectures for cloud migration.
• Drive the co-development of new go-to-market approaches and opportunities with the Geo business lead.
• Identify platform improvements, influence future iterations of the AWS platform and the Migration Acceleration Program.
• Work as part of a cross-functional team to identify, develop, and close deals.
• Engage with C-level customer executives to inspire, define and execute on Enterprise cloud migration strategies demonstrating thought-leadership and a 'can do' approach to enterprise migrations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Qualifications

• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience with cloud computing and infrastructure architecture.
• Experience with database architecture and networking.
• Experience with software development and implementation.
• Experience with customer engagement and sales.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually.

Schedule

This position may require up to 30% travel.
