Senior Solutions Architect, Federal Civilian

About the role

Amazon Web Services is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to support the US Federal Civilian Health business within the World Wide Public Sector practice. As a senior member of the team, you will help Civilian Health agencies achieve their mission goals through the use of cloud computing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects
• Defining implementation architectures, responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs), and building deep expertise in AWS technologies
• Developing a broad understanding of how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform
• Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
• Providing exceptional technical design and thought leadership to customers
• Collaborating with a world-class sales and business development team
• Leading efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS Solution Architect community
• Leveraging your technical skills to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of GenAI and Amazon's utility computing web services

Requirements

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders or clients

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required
• Deep-dive technical discussions around design and an intellectual curiosity to keep technical skills current while staying informed on industry trends
• Technical presentation experience – whiteboard, small and large group presentations
• Web Services development/deployment experience, cloud computing, databases, big data and analytics
• Web site/services operations, management, database administration and security

Pay

$153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
