Senior Solutions Architect - Cybersecurity

About the role
This position is open to candidates located in or near Sacramento, California. The Senior Solutions Architect solves cybersecurity business challenges for C1’s customers by delivering outcome-based solutions that include strategic products and services. This role requires expertise in all market offerings within the cybersecurity domain and close collaboration with account teams to ensure accurate solution design throughout the sales lifecycle. The Senior Solutions Architect also explains, positions, and justifies costs related to C1’s solutions.
Responsibilities
- Understand customers' cybersecurity business goals, risk tolerance, and existing infrastructure through workshops, security posture analysis, and gap identification to drive client outcomes.
- Provide solution consulting, technical architecture, and sales support for account opportunities.
- Develop and present a security roadmap that includes comprehensive security strategies tailored to each client’s needs, covering networking security, endpoint protection, data loss prevention, identity and user security, cloud security, and incident response plans.
- Participate in the sales process from initial qualification to final proposal, collaborating with account managers.
- Serve as a trusted advisor through thought leadership activities and publications to stay at the forefront of the cybersecurity landscape.
- Provide live demonstrations for customers and sales teams.
- Develop and maintain technical competency and certifications for all core security products and solutions.
- Perform strategic road-mapping sessions with customers.
- Participate in user groups and conferences as required.
- Stay current on industry changes and engage with organizations involved with subject-matter expert (SME) products and services to continually improve techniques and sales knowledge.
- Provide deliverables to customers, including statements of work and product architectures.
- Participate in solution deliverables at the direction of the Solution Architect, including:
- Discovery and documentation of business requirements specific to the area of expertise, including ROI and TCO models.
- Responsibility for third-party quotes and statement of work (SOW) language for the area of expertise.
- Providing relevant SOW language to Solution Architect resources and guidance on content flow.
- Participating in solution/delivery assurance and services handoff meetings.
- Ensure productive relationships with manufacturer technical peers.
- Act as a dedicated resource for top accounts.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in a similar cybersecurity industry role.
- Broad and general knowledge of cybersecurity, including SOC, SASE, threat detection, identity access management, and Zero Trust.
- Strong expertise in industry-leading security solutions and vendor offerings from Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, Arctic Wolf, Fortinet, and others.
- Subject matter expertise related to cybersecurity frameworks and protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint.
- Excellent presentation skills and exceptional customer-facing abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as relationship and collaboration skills.
- Certifications or equivalent experience in the area of focus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction to produce accurate solution architectures for clients.
- Able to manage multiple simultaneous work assignments.
Preferred qualifications include experience with public sector customers and CCIE certification.

Pay
Base pay range: $140,000 - $210,000. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and other relevant factors. Incentive or variable pay opportunities may be available in addition to base pay.
