Senior Solutions Architect
About the role
The Senior Solutions Architect is a highly motivated, skilled resource who embraces an entrepreneur approach with a strong work ethic. This position primarily focuses on consulting with ConvergeOne’s Enterprise Customers to develop solid strategies with Outcome Based solutions that deliver measurable results through ROI and TCO models.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a technical subject matter expert for Enterprise Networking, with primary focus on campus, branch, wireless, WAN, SD-WAN, segmentation, network access, and secure connectivity solutions.
- Acts as a trusted technical advisor throughout the pre-sales lifecycle, including discovery, qualification, solution positioning, architecture development, customer presentations, and RFI/RFP support across commercial and public sector opportunities.
- Leads customer discovery sessions to understand business goals, technical requirements, current-state environments, operational challenges, and desired outcomes.
- Designs and positions enterprise network architectures aligned to customer requirements, C1 capabilities, manufacturer technologies, and industry best practices.
- Provides pre-sales technical consulting for network modernization, campus refresh, wireless transformation, SD-WAN, WAN optimization, segmentation, and secure access opportunities.
- Develops solution architectures, diagrams, bills of material, technical recommendations, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and migration considerations.
- Collaborates with specialists across security, data center, cloud, collaboration, customer experience, managed services, and professional services to develop complete customer solutions.
- Supports solution assurance, delivery readiness, and services handoff activities to help ensure proposed architectures can be implemented successfully.
- Maintains technical competency in enterprise networking and related infrastructure technologies.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience designing, architecting, implementing, consulting on, or supporting enterprise networking solutions.
- Meaningful experience with routing, switching, wireless, WAN, SD-WAN, segmentation, QoS, high availability, network resiliency, or secure access.
- Experience with Cisco enterprise networking solutions such as Catalyst, Meraki, Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA Center / Catalyst Center, or related technologies.
- Experience with additional vendors such as HPE Aruba, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Extreme Networks, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Ability to assess current-state environments and translate findings into practical future-state architectures.
- Experience developing or contributing to solution designs, diagrams, bills of material, migration strategies, RFI/RFP responses, proposals, and SOW-related content.
- Experience in pre-sales engineering, solution architecture, consulting, or customer-facing technical roles within a VAR, systems integrator, MSP, consulting organization, or enterprise IT environment.
- Strong customer-facing, presentation, facilitation, whiteboarding, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently while managing multiple opportunities, priorities, and deliverables.
- Certifications or equivalent experience in enterprise networking, security, wireless, infrastructure, or adjacent architecture domains preferred.
Fitness Statement
This role has a primary focus on Enterprise Networking architecture. Adjacent experience in security, cloud connectivity, data center, collaboration, customer experience, or managed services is valuable.

Pay Range
$105,000 - $180,000 Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
