Senior Solution Engineer, Compute Systems

About the role

The NVIDIA Experience (NVEX) Solutions Engineering team is looking for a Solution Engineer to support NVIDIA’s GPU‑accelerated platforms (DGX, HGX, MGX, GB200, GB300). The role involves applying AI technologies to triage customer issues, develop solutions, and enhance internal tools while working directly with enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to NVIDIA Enterprise customers to resolve or advance issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, supplying logs, reproductions, and other triage information.
• Apply AI to create or update products and support tools.
• Own and drive customer issues from inception to resolution.
• Document customer interactions to improve the knowledge base.
• Utilize agentic AI skills for problem solving and software development.
• Occasionally work on weekends and holidays to support customers.

Requirements

• Minimum BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with multi‑GPU platforms.
• Strong system software expertise (firmware, BIOS, kernel, driver, operating system).
• Solid Linux knowledge with ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and customize environments for AI/ML workloads.
• Experience with containerized solutions (Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Slurm).
• Professional‑level communication skills, adaptable to audience technical level and calm under pressure.
• Excellent follow‑up and organizational abilities with a passion for problem solving.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming for platform OS, firmware, BIOS, kernel, drivers.
• Proficiency in Python for building custom tools.

Preferred qualifications

• Background in parallel programming or GPU acceleration (e.g., CUDA).
• Experience developing in GPU‑accelerated, cloud, or virtualized environments.
• Experience analyzing software efficiency of distributed workloads.
• Knowledge of clustering or HPC data‑center technologies, including upper‑layer protocols such as NCCL and MPI.

Pay

Base salary is location‑ and experience‑dependent. Level 3 range: $140,000 – $224,250. Level 4 range: $168,000 – $270,250.

Schedule

Occasional work on weekends and holidays may be required to support customers.
