Senior Solid State NMR Scientist
Responsibilities
with- each bullet.
Qualifications: there is a "Qualifications" heading in the posting. So we can use that.
Skills: maybe from qualifications we can extract skills: strong data analysis, organizational skills, ability to work independently, excellent oral/written communication, strong interest to learn new technologies. Could be separate Skills section.
Benefits: posting mentions "Excellent full-time benefits, including comprehensive medical coverage, dental, and vision options Life and disability insurance 401(k) with company match Paid vacation and holidays". So we can create Benefits section.
Pay: not mentioned. So omit Pay.
Schedule: mentions "Position is full-time, working Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00p.m overtime as needed". That's schedule info. So we can create Schedule section.
Also location: "Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Groton, CT are encouraged to apply." Could be part of About the role? Or maybe we can include in a short paragraph under About the role? The instruction: do NOT repeat job title as heading; we can have About the role section with prose summarizing role and location.
We need to preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include all details from posting.
Let's extract:
Company description: Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company... (the long paragraph). This is substantive info about the company. Could be placed under About the role? Or maybe we could have a separate section like "About Eurofins"? But only allowed headings are those listed. So we can put company overview under About the role (makes sense). Or we could put it as a
before any heading? The instruction: Use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid having a leading paragraph before any heading. But we should include sections only when posting has real specific content. We could have a leading
for company overview, then sections. But we must not repeat job title as heading. The job title is "Senior Solid State NMR Scientist". Not to be used as heading. We need to include all substantive info: responsibilities list, qualifications list, skills, benefits, schedule, location, work authorization, EEO statement? The instruction: Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. So we should remove EEO statement at end: "Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions is a Disabled and Veteran Equal Employment Opportunity employer." That's EEO boilerplate, remove. Also "Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship" is substantive? It's about work authorization; could be included maybe in About the role or Requirements. It's not boilerplate; it's a requirement. We'll keep. Now structure:
Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company... (the long paragraph).
Then maybeAbout the role
with a paragraph describing the role: "The Senior Solid State NMR Scientist provides laboratory support in solid-state NMR (ssNMR) data collection and interpretation for pharmaceutical materials." plus location and schedule? But schedule separate. Better: About the role paragraph: description of role and location (Groton, CT). Then Responsibilities section with bullet list. Qualifications section: list of qualifications. Skills section: maybe extract from qualifications: strong data analysis and interpretation skills, good organizational skills, ability to work independently, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interest and motivation to learn new technologies and concepts. Benefits section: list benefits. Schedule section: full-time Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m overtime as needed. We should not include Requirements heading if we already have Qualifications and Skills; but we could combine Requirements and Qualifications? The instruction: prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. We have Qualifications and Skills separate; maybe we can combine them into Qualifications (including skills). But we have a Qualifications heading already in posting. We could keep Qualifications and maybe not have Skills separate to avoid thin sections. However the instruction says we can include Skills if posting has real specific content. The posting does mention skills explicitly: "Strong data analysis and interpretation skills. Good organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent oral and written communication skills are required. A strong interest and motivation to learn new technologies and concepts is expected." That's specific. So we could have Skills section. But we might also have Requirements heading: maybe we can put the qualifications (degree, experience) under Requirements, and skills under Skills. That seems reasonable. Thus sections: - About the role (company overview + role description + location) - Responsibilities - Requirements (education/experience) - Skills - Benefits - Schedule We must not include Pay. Now ensure we preserve all substantive info: Let's list all details from posting: Company description paragraph (long). We'll keep as is. Job Description: "The Senior Solid State NMR Scientist provides laboratory support in solid-state NMR (ssNMR) data collection and interpretation for pharmaceutical materials." Then bullet-like sentences (each starts with a verb). Let's capture each: - Apply ssNMR to characterize a broad range of pharmaceutical materials (crystalline and non-crystalline small molecule APIs, excipients, drug product intermediates, and drug products) - Apply quantitative ssNMR methods to measure components of APIs and drug products - Plan and perform experiments with minimal supervision - Collaborate with colleagues in Materials Science to define and implement characterization strategies - Solve scientific problems using contemporary Materials Science experimental techniques - Contribute to the development of new scientific approaches and knowledge within the Materials Science organization - Ensure contemporaneous and accurate entries are made in the electronic laboratory notebook system according to accepted good practice Qualifications: "Ph.D. degree in chemistry or equivalent field with expertise in ssNMR or a B.A./M.S degree in pharmaceutical science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field with 2-3+ years of ssNMR experience" Then: "Experience with ssNMR sample preparation, data acquisition, and interpretation of 1D and 2D spectra" "Experience in solid state characterization techniques (such as x-ray powder diffraction, polarized light microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, spectroscopy, etc.) is an advantage." "Experience and understanding of vibrational spectroscopy (FTIR, NIR, FT-Raman) is an advantage." "Understanding of physical, analytical, and organic chemistry." "Strong data analysis and interpretation skills." "Good organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent oral and written communication skills are required." "A strong interest and motivation to learn new technologies and concepts is expected." Additional Information: "Position is full-time, working Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00p.m overtime as needed" "Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Groton, CT are encouraged to apply." "Excellent full-time benefits, including comprehensive medical coverage, dental, and vision options" "Life and disability insurance" "401(k) with company match" "Paid vacation and holidays" "Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship" We should also keep the EEO statement removed. Now we need to format. We'll produce:Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company, providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries, to make life and our environment safer, healthier and more sustainable. From the food you eat, to the water you drink, to the medicines you rely on, Eurofins laboratories work with the biggest companies in the world to ensure the products they supply are safe, their ingredients are authentic and labelling is accurate. The Eurofins network of companies is the global leader in food, environment, pharmaceutical and cosmetic product testing and in agroscience Contract Research Organisation services.
